Special Moment
This weekend I got to be on the other side of the camera and it was awesome. I was a bit apprehensive going in only because even though I photograph people on a very regular basis I wasn't exactly sure what to do...thankfully I have an incredible photographer friend named Kelly (http://www.kellygemmell.com) who managed to capture some really special moments for us.
It's coming up to October and as most of you know that's a very reflective month for us. Our first little man was born, and passed away due to a heart condition at the beginning of October 2006. I wanted to include him in our photos somehow and when I was going through the things we have of his I knew exactly how I wanted it done. So when we arrived for our session today I mentioned the idea and off we went. Kel and I set up the picnic scene and she captured what is quite possibly my favourite image...a moment that I will never forget...Jack having a picnic with Zachary's teddy. While she was snapping Jack was talking away to the bear, smiling and chatting, I hid it well but I was definitely crying.
Kelly thank you SO much for capturing that incredible moment for us. It means so much to Matt and I to have a photo that includes both our boys together in some way and this is exactly what I wanted. You did an amazing job and made being on the other side of the camera a great experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And now...the image that made me cry the second I saw it:
Much Love

3 comments, we'd love to hear yours!:
Matt & Nik, I'm convinced that Zack has been looking over Jack since the the day he was born and that he'll always be doing so.
I'm equally convinced that Jack knows he has a big brother to look up to.
You are great parents and you'll raise great kids.
