Hiya! I was told I should write here TOTALLY OF MY OWN FREE WILL. Just saying. The last time I wrote in any type of journal was right before Christmas in 2006. That last entry took months to write, and was every single thing I could think of about what happened with Zack. So I never really thought anything afterwards was important enough to document. And then we come to 3 years later. I'll try to make these posts meaningful for the most part - no easy task for Matt Davis. Quick aside: you would not believe how hard it is for me to have a serious conversation with no trace of sarcasm involved, and Nikki often has to remind me when it's not called for....though I really think there's no such time.

I'm really excited to see my son or daughter. I literally could not care less whether it's a boy or a girl. I just want him/her to be healthy. I know Nikki thinks it's a girl, and I say to everybody that I think it's a boy - but really, I just say that because I have a constant desire to compete with Nikki. If Bean is a boy, then I win that little game. But again, I don't care. I just keep thinking about everything I can do with this kid, and every time I have some type of interaction with a little JK student or something, I feel like I'm practicing for what I will do with my own child. I also think that if these kids seem to like me so much and follow me around, Bean should absolutely LOVE hanging out with me. That's a goal, at least.

Remember Jerry Springer? How at the end of all his shows he would have some kind of profound 'final thought'? They were always so ridiculous, but I want to have a final thought of my own on these. So here it is: I feel that, though that graphic up top of the baby growing is really cool, it is also incredible unsettling and slightly inhuman. Is it just me?
