Matt's log Number 1
Hi, this is Matt. I just want everyone to know that after a whole bunch of dumb luck, I just received my first call to supply teach in the Simcoe Board. This is a big deal because now I don't have to drive to Orangeville hoping someone calls in sick at around 8:10 in the morning. Instead, I can plan everything out. It's only a half day, but that's good for several reasons - I can ease myself into this brand new board, I can still make it to tutoring in the afternoon, and I can take off for the afternoon if I can't stand the class. It's win-win-win!
I can't wait to have this kid inside Nikki. Many days I feel like we've waited enough and I just want someone to play with. Well, maybe someone to watch play. Though I guess s/he won't do much playing in the first few months. Anyway, I also think that I'm glad it's coming, but not right away, because things still are falling into place around here, and I want things to be as stable as possible when my son or daughter arrives. I'm ready, absolutely. But I want a bit more time to get a bit more ready. It makes sense to me.
I'm really curious who reads these. Actually, here's a challenge to everybody reading this right now - let me know who you are so I can maybe start a tally or something, and bug friends who aren't reading and should be. Seriously. Okay, I'm done for now, but I'll be back. Maybe tomorrow.
