Looks like we may lose 14 days off our countdown...Eeeek!

Soooooo I found out today that I have gestational diabetes (which from here on out I will call GD). I must say that Matt having diabetes has made this somewhat of a non-issue for me. I am headed to an appointment at the diabetes clinic here tomorrow and will go over diet and exercise and a meal plan. I'll have to start testing my sugar regularly and will likely go for 1-2 more ultrasounds to monitor Jack's size (since it is likely that he will have a high birthweight and he is already measuring a bit big). My blood pressure has been fine but is a bit on the high side so between that and the GD I will likely be induced around 38 weeks (and since you are considered full term after 37 weeks, Jack wouldn't be a preemie). Yes, that's right...we just lost 14 days from our countdown!

Luckily I ordered pretty much all the nursery stuff this past week (thanks again Les for housing bits and pieces of it) and we just have to go to Ikea to grab a couple things and the nursery will be DONE! (and then I'll share some pictures)

Anywho, other than that things are looking good. I feel fine and Jack is moving about as usual. I do have an appointment to see an anesthesiologist in 2 weeks to discuss if I will actually be able to get an epidural because of the surgery I had in June so let's all cross our fingers that I will get that lovely pain relief :)
