Clearly, I'm experimenting with cool names for my entries. So far, this is eerily the most appropriate, for obvious reasons.
I'm psyched! I can't wait to meet Jack. I can't believe there's so little time left either, considering that this countdown clock won't likely go all the way to zero. It's happening soon. It was a weird feeling this weekend knowing that this is the very last holiday weekend where we can do pretty much whatever we want. By which I mean just lazing around and seeing bits of family. But starting this Thanksgiving, holidays will be crazy I'm thinking. We have four sets of grandparents for Jack to see, more great-grandparents, aunts/uncles and tons of people that aren't any blood relation but are no less family. And there are certain things I'd like to do on these holidays, like the dinner we did last Thanksgiving with friends. That was so much fun, and it could only be cooler when Jack is here. I want that to continue. And I want him to see as much as his extended family as often as possible. That's not likely ever going to be an issue, outside of the fact that I may simply get sick and tired of seeing certain people **cough** Natalie **cough**.

Fear still sets in sometimes, but it's not really any more than fear of getting pooped on. You know, the not-so-serious stuff. I'm not too afraid in the general sense because I see how Nikki gets along with babies and young kids, I know how I do it and I feel that sort of sets the tone for how we'll interact with Jack. I'm not thinking it will be a cakewalk - far from it. But I think we can do it, I think we can raise him to be a good person and have good morals and all of that stuff. But I do think of that stuff a lot, the idea that maybe we'll accidentally really screw him up and make this maladjusted, evil terror of a person. But hey, fingers crossed for that not to happen!
